Shepherd Financial collects only the information necessary to consistently deliver responsive, high quality services, fulfill legal and regulatory requirements, and serve your needs. Information which we collect from our clients to procure and modify insurance, financial coverage, or to process a claim includes:

Parties to whom we disclose information
Access to client information is strictly limited. We do not disclose any non-public personal or business information about our clients to non-affiliated third parties, except as permitted by law. We may disclose nonpublic information to only the companies that our agency represents as is allowed by section 8(G) of Indiana Department of Financial Rule 760 IAC 1-67.
Protecting the confidentiality and security of client information
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about former, current, and future clients to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products and services. In order to guard the information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal regulations. Each associate at Shepherd Financial is required to sign a statement acknowledging the privacy policy of our agency.
Health information
We may collect personal health information for certain types of services that we provide. We do not share personal health information with anyone except as necessary to provide these services, fulfill other administrative requirements or as otherwise requested by you or required or permitted by law.
Information collected from our website
Our websites collect personal information from our clients using active and passive avenues. Information is collected actively by forms, surveys, email, etc. and passively by using technologies that collect IP addresses, browser type, operation system type, etc. The information gathered is to serve our clients better and will be kept secure. Our websites also contain links to affiliated and nonaffiliated companies and their websites. Protection of your personal information after you leave our website will be governed by their security policy, and Shepherd Financial cannot take responsibility for their privacy practices.
Dispute resolution
Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to our privacy policy, or breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
Reservation of the right to disclose information in unforeseen circumstances
In connection with the potential sale or transfer of its interests, Shepherd Financial and its affiliates reserve the right to sell or transfer our clients’ information to a third party entity that (1) concentrates its business in a similar practice or service; (2) agrees to be Shepherd Financial’s successor in interest with regard to the maintenance and protection of the information collected; (3) agrees to the obligations of this privacy policy.
Changes to privacy policy
Shepherd Financial reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy occasionally and in its sole discretion. Any Privacy Policy changes will be disclosed to our clients via a link from our website’s homepage.
