Operation Shepherding

Community Outreach

We're just as passionate about community service as we are about professional service. Quinn Shepherd started Operation Shepherding in 2011 as a year-round initiative to support the local communities where our employees and clients live and work. We encourage our team to look for opportunities to pay it forward and to be actively involved in the community. All employees are given a day off work each year to volunteer with the organization of their choice.

GIVING TREE - Our annual Christmas tradition is to host a toy drive for Prevail, which is a non-profit organization that helps victims of crime and abuse. To learn more, see the editorial, "Shepherds of Good Faith" in the Current in Carmel.

ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION - One of the organizations close to our hearts is the Alzheimer's Association. On October 10, 2015, a group of approximately 80 Shepherd Unforgettables gathered to support The Walk to End Alzheimer’s. As of today, our team has raised over $12,500.  Not only did our team make an appearance in numbers, we were also in the top 15 teams in the amount of money raised, helping us achieve the  ‘Rookie Team of the Year’ award. The Unforgettables were featured on local area billboards thanking us for our hard work, fundraising tactics, and team spirit. The money raised will go toward research that will one day end Alzheimer’s for future generations.  Click here to read a story about the fight against Alzheimer’s that touches our own Ashley Chamberlain (above center) in the Current in Carmel, and also watch the video which features Ashley's parents.

WISDOM & GRACE - Quinn Shepherd (above, 2nd from right) is one of four founders of Wisdom and Grace, a not-for-profit organization to help raise funds to support and expand a school in Guatemala. They currently educate and assist over 380 children and their families, working to end the poverty cycle. Their goal is to build a new school for 1,000 children. In October, we held a fundraising gala called "Imagine 1000" where we shared the vision with some of Indianapolis' finest at Prime 47 at Clay Terrace in Carmel. A special thank you to all of our sponsors who helped make the event a success!
